Darling Point Apartment

A blend of modern and rustic European styles, the Darling Point Apartment by Interior Connexion transforms a small footprint into a spacious and light-filled haven full of curated imperfections.

The Darling Point Apartment project, led by Debbie Barakat from Interior Connexion, showcases a blend of modern and rustic European styles. The interior features natural finishes such as Venetian plastered walls, chevron engineered timber flooring, and hand-finished tiles. Despite the apartment's small footprint, the reconfiguration of the floor plan and the careful curation of materials have created a space that feels light and spacious.

Photographing this project presented the challenge of capturing the various textures and rendering them vividly in the final images. To achieve this, clever use of lighting modifiers was employed to sculpt and add shape to the textures of the materials. In post-production, care was taken to add character to the images without detracting from the project's inherent charm. This was accomplished through colour grading, enhancing the intended emotion of the space, and evoking a sense of early morning or late afternoon in the European countryside, right in the heart of Sydney.
