MT House
MT House is an extension and addition project nestled in the inner city suburb of Annandale. With its luxurious finishes and high level of craftsmanship, every element has been curated thoroughly for sophisticated living.
Photography Brief
The team from Rise Architecture Builders commissioned the photography for this project for entry into the 2023 Master Builder Association Awards. Showcasing materials, finishes and the level of craftsmanship were key points in the brief for the documentation of the project.
Collaborating Team
The project was a collaboration between House of O’Connell (Interior Design), PI Project (Architecture) and Rise Architecture Builders (Rise AB).
“We’ve worked with Adam before, however for this project, we needed a true level of quality and expertise in the photography which we could depend on Adam in delivering. We briefed him on the project and the level of detail that's gone into it. Some of which could be missed as it was minimalist to every sense of the word. Approach and Technique
In documenting the project, the approach sought to highlight not only the aesthetic elements but also the tactile essence of the space. Lighting control techniques were instrumental in creating a sense of intimacy, inviting viewers to experience the project visually. Noteworthy features such as the venetian wall finishes by Lusso Venetian Finishes and the marble kitchen benchtop required a great understanding of the way light interacts with particular materials. The result showcases its true elegance and craftsmanship.
“It was extremely important for us to showcase the exquisite materials the client had chosen for the build. With custom artisan finishes and high end imported materials we needed the photography to be able to showcase this. It was important for the judges to be able to experience this also, which I think the images achieved.” - Nic Ryan, Rise AB
House of O’Connell were also involved in the photography process, and the same approach and technique used to document their contribution to the project.
Award Recognition
Rise Architecture Builders successfully won the award for the project under the category House (Residential) $1.2 Million - $1.3 Million with judges comments:

Showcased through the micro floor topping, creative and well-executed steelwork at the rear and the extensive use of Peterson bricks.
